Changing the horizontal location of a table

Hi
I have created the pages of my website in a table. I thought that to get it showing up centred on a monitor it would be a good I dea to be able to see it that way when I was building it (I now know that all I have to do is centre it). How do I change where my table sits on the horizontal bar at the top (currently at 125 - 900) back to being at 0-775. nothing I do seems to move it back over
Thanks
Anna

RE: changing the horizontal location of a table

Hi Anna,

If you are creating your web page in HTML, then you table will start with a table tag within the HTML. to align the table in the center of the page all you need to do is within that table tag is to add the following align="center". That will place your table in the center of the page.

Hope this helps
David

RE: changing the horizontal location of a table

Anna,

In addition to David's suggestion of checking the TABLE tag for the align="center" parameter, your table could also be in a <P> or <DIV> tag that has the align="center" parameter. So check your code.

If you're not into code much, select your entire table and look at the properties panel. The align drop down box should say "Default" or "Left". Then press the right arrow key to deselect the table, but stay within the paragraph/div. Check the paragraph alignment button (the ones you see in MS Word) - it may be centred.

Let us know how you get on. Your solution may help others!

Regards, Rich
